The Political Economy of Energy & Climate change
Joe Marroquin: Author
~95,000 words (~350pages)

I've finished writing The Political Economy of Energy and Climate Change and have secured a great editor that's working through it. I'm planning to have it on the bookshelves by early next year.

The main argument of the book is that climate change is too complex to succinctly define and that the climate change debate is really a debate and struggle for control of the world’s political economy.  There are facets of the debate is conducted publically, but the true detail of the debate is largely hidden from the public in the boardrooms of corporations, environmental groups, and government bodies. In a clear and multi-disciplinary approach, I delve into the underlying economic, corporate, and political motivations that are fueling the energy and climate change debate.

Overall, the book isn't pro climate change or pro energy corporations. It's intended for the average citizen. The goal is to take a genuine look at the implications of what these very large agendas from some very large companies and governments could have on the average citizen. Behind the debate are many large global corporations, governments, the UN, environmental groups and others.
