SYNOPSIS

What if I were to tell you that the climate change debate wasn’t about saving the
planet’s ecosystem?  How would you respond to knowing that energy security
wasn’t entirely about safeguarding America’s energy independence?  Debates
over climate change and energy security are really a struggle for control of the
world’s political economy – it is about big money and power.  These debates
may be numerous and conducted publically, but their true details are hidden
behind a wall of words.  My work opens a door through the wall of words and
exposes the details that are rarely discussed.  In a clear and multi-disciplinary
approach, I delve into the underlying economic, corporate, and political motivations
that are really fueling the energy and climate change debate.

I’ve written an engaging and well-organized 90,000-word Citizen’s Guide to
Energy and Climate Change
.  It is geared to the general public and explores
all sides to these issues.  I believe the public needs a concise and clear description
of the debates, issues, and motives of this highly publicized topic in order to make
informed choices.  In fact, a survey conducted in 2008 by George Mason University
ranks energy and climate change as a top ten issue for Americans.  However, few
Americans understand the complexities of the debates.
